Boracay is the World’s Most Popular Beach according to Yahoo! Travel
Yahoo! Travel just announced The World’s Most Popular Beaches of 2007, Topping the list is our very own Boracay Island in Aklan and on the number three (3) spot is Cebu also in the island of Visayas. Heres the complete list of Yahoo! Travel Most Popular Beaches of 2007:
1. Boracay Island, Philippines
2. Nassau, The Bahamas 3. Cebu, Philippines ( check it out on www.cebuprovince.com )
4. Phan Thiet, Vietnam
5. Montego Bay, Jamaica
6. Phuket, Thailand
7. Cozumel, Mexico
8. San Diego, California
9. Honolulu, Hawaii
10. San Juan, Puerto Rico
The world-famous island of Boracay is located in Aklan province 345 kms. South of Manila. The island is accessible by air from Manila or Cebu through two principal gateways: Caticlan airport or Kalibo airport.
Boracay has also been voted as one of the best beaches in the world by the BMW Tropical Beach Handbook. The British Publication TV Quick in its issue of December 21, 1996 gave the latest accolade for Boracay as the number one tropical beach in the world.
Now Open!!! barLO Resto Lounge
barLO! the beachfront restaurant chill out bar, set to open in the 4th quarter of 2007, is the 1st gastronomic venture of chef Gene Gonzalez ( of CACS and Cafe Ysabel fame ) in Boracay. It is located on the beachfront of Two Seasons Boracay in the boat station 1 area, between Fridays and Seawind. It is expected to provide a new alternative and truly pleasurable dining experience to the island paradise while "late-nighters" who prefer the 'chill-out' sounds by the beach with their fave cocktail drinks in hand will find barLO a more relaxing and genuinely stress-free hang-out compared to the hard-hitting beats and rowdier crowds of the mainstream bars and clubs of the island. And if you come in early enough, the four beachfront cabanas offer a tropical ambiance to top off your perfect Boracay beach dining and nightout at barLO!
Indeed! new and more exciting things are coming to the island, sure , there are kinks to be ironed out but hey! they shouldn't stop us from enjoying what Boracay has to offer and barLO promises to draw in more of the discriminating culinary and nightlife crowd to this side of the main white beach. So, whenever you're in Boracay, make sure to barLO!
Another evidence that Boracay has indeed crossed the threshold into becoming a regional, if not a global, tourist destination is in its drawing power to reel in local and foreign investments worth billions of pesos, in addition to its natural attraction to tourists both in the country and overseas. Those who stand to benefit from these are, needless to say, the Tirol clan who owned and continues to own much of the original properties on the island and the local populace in and around the island who can look forward to increased employment and livelihood opportunities.

Hi Gio,
It was nice finally meeting you. We're back here in the US and We would like to thank you for the great vacation we had in Boracay, all in all the package deal is great. The people at Villa de Oro were very nice and accomodating. The totallity of the trip is AAA, the only thing that I suggest that on the Island Hoping tour, you need to elaborate to the visitors what are included, we did not expect that there were a long time for snorkling involve which we donot like, in the end the tour people transfer us to a different banca just to do the island hoping. Like I said every thing is as planned. Thanks again so much we will definetly get in touch with you again for some other trips in the future.
